You may find someone's story to be a little more than just suspicious -- but that doesn't mean you need to call them on it right away! You may want to just give them enough rope to hang themselves.

Windows: Feng Shui Solution

Form & Space: Feng Shui Solution.

Windows.

We have observed that the absence of a window in any space can cause problems from the point of view of Feng Shui. Occupying a windowless bedroom can cause the occupants to feel dissatisfied, confined and uncomfortable.

They may ultimately tend to suffer from a continuous low-level of anxiety and feel that they are missing out on life. Sleeping in a room without a window can make the occupants feel detached from the outside world and they could spend longer hours sleeping in the bedroom.

Such bedrooms without any windows also tend to become too Yin which is considered quite unhealthy. The lack of fresh air can make the occupants feel mentally trapped and tired. Moreoever, the presence of stale air in the bedroom can become a health hazard.

Similarly, the lack of a window in the Kitchen is also considered quite unhealthy. Since the Kitchen is also a very important area in the home lack of windows in the kitchen can make it look very dark, gloomy and depressing which is quite inauspicious.
Lack of sunlight and fresh air can make cooking a very difficult task and can cause health problems to the person doing the cooking.

Moreover, the lack of a window in the Kitchen causes the person doing the cooking feel disconnected from the outside world apart from having a feeling of isolation. The lack of proper ventilation could cause stale air and Yin energies to gather and spread to the rest of the home.

The best solution is naturally opening a window in the Kitchen to bring in natural light and fresh air from the outside. This would allow a view of the outside too and help establish a connection with the outside.

If that is not an option then you can paint the Kitchen in green colour to symbolically establish a connection with the nature outside.
Otherwise, you should keep the Kitchen door open and place a chi-inducing object or energiser like an indoor fountain or a windchime outside.

The soothing and tinkling sound of these would help in establishing a connection with the rest of the home. Alternatively, you could place some plants outside the kitchen door.

These would also help in connecting you with the outside world. In any case, few bright lights should be added to the Kitchen to brighten it up because a poorly lit or dark Kitchen lacks harmony and can only spread gloom to the rest of the home.

Apart from this, it is very important to provide proper ventilation too (Shreyans Rampuria).
